Refreshing experience being served by Andrew this evening. The food was outstanding and the service; exceptional. I’m so happy we tried this place and plan on coming back for future events. The only thing we thought was slightly off the mark was the music selection. Overall, extremely impressed!
5 Stars – A Must-Visit Dining Experience Stopped in for a solo dinner and was seriously impressed. The restaurant has an elegant yet cozy atmosphere—clean, quiet, and perfect for a relaxing night out. Service was outstanding. Nino was an exceptional server—friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Leo, the manager, was also very helpful and welcoming. I had a glass of Prosecco, a fresh Caesar salad, a mango sorbet palate cleanser, then filet mignon with gnocchi—cooked and timed perfectly. Even got a little snack at the end, which was a really nice touch. Highly recommend for great food, wine, and next-level hospitality. Will definitely return—next time with company!
I haven’t been to Terra Restaurant since the 90’s/early 2000’s (kept forgetting it was there in Thornhill). Still outstanding quality of food & flavours. Service was wonderful & interactive. A gem, north of the City of TO. If you call yourself a “foodie” it’s worth the travel to experience their yummy food. With a cocktail & wine, shared oysters to start, main & shared dessert approx spend is just over 100 (complimentary amuse-bouche). I’m adding pics of the mains (forgot to take other pics). The room itself could use an update but not horrible - just not trendy - more old school. I’d rather eat excellent food than crappy food in a trendy restaurant.
Came here for the first time to celebrate Valentine's Day, and it was actually a surprise by my partner. I was absolutely stunned by the place initially, especially since I had no idea what I was walking into. It's a gorgeous venue, with an almost intimate atmosphere and rich, warm lighting. The service is perfection from the moment you walk in, and even with the wintery weather everyone was pleasant and accommodating. We were attended to by Luke at our table, and he was amazing; amiable and attentive, and I honestly couldn't ask for more. Please give him our regards. As for the food, I think I was just short of licking the plate clean. Everything tasted wonderful, and the temperatures on the meats were perfect (we both like it mid-rare). Appetizers Quail Burrata Lamb Chop x2 Mains Surf n Turf (Veal and Prawn) 12oz Striploin Don't pass on the quail, if you're thinking about it. That was the best quail I've ever had and as a hunter, I never thought you could make a quail taste that good. The salad that came with it balanced the dish perfectly. The burrata tasted extremely fresh, and the lamb was seasoned so well, we ordered another one. I could go on about the mains; they were the stars of the show. I would definitely return here as a treat! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food and a cozy, fine dining experience.
Great place for fine dining, food is truly top notch! We came here to celebrate my wife’s birthday. We ordered the Tuna and Hamachi appetizer, which tasted amazing and had a great balance of sweetness, saltiness, and acidity. For our mains she ordered the rack of lamb, temperature of the lamb was a perfect medium rare served with summer veg and a perfectly seasoned mashed potato. For myself, i ordered the special Bison Tenderloin which was cooked perfectly with a deep, rich, beefy flavour. In-between the apps and the main course, we were served a lemon sorbet to cleanse the palate, and after the main-course, a small cheese and nut plate was brought out before our desserts. The service here is also amazing, always came by to check on us and making sure everything was to our liking. Truly an amazing dining experience, will definitely be back again in the future.
The food here is the standout - everything we ordered was delicious - from the scallop appetizer to the lamb to the dessert at the end of the meal. Service was a tad slower than expected but definitely worth it for the food. Our server was also fantastic! We'll be back!
